The research project spans through the complete PhD study and aims to qualify BioStruct Fellows for independent and professional scientific working. Fellows will be supported by two renowned academic advisors, of which at least one is an expert in Structural Biology. Both advisors are responsible for a structured supervision of the ongoing project work including progress reports and discussions on a regular basis. During their research project BioStruct Fellows have access to the complete cooperative research network of the research school. Depending on the scientific focus of the project fellows will be integrated into the infrastructure and ‘expert environment’ of the main advisor’s research group, where they will learn and expand specific scientific methods, backgrounds and theories, practice transferable skills, write their thesis and publications, etc. and will build up a sustainable expertise in the field of research.
